Horrified about the happenings in Berlin, hope for the sake of my sanity that it was an accident, even though it does look like an attack. Witnesses reported that the truck did not have the lights on.......

Happened to me the other day, after receiving death threats from stalkers, wanted to drive left and while watching a whole line of cars approaching from the opposite direction that one of the cars, the one all the way out front did not have lights on in order not to be seen, and that car was hidden since the drivers behind that car all had lights on. Deliberate? Yep.

These are merely the opening salvos in a war with no end.
The battle for Eurabia has begun.
Soon a spine will grow to resist the insanity, but it is far too late,.... they are already well entrenched.
Efforts will be made to evict them.
They will NOT leave.

The Europe we knew and loved has been replaced, behold....the New Normal.:(

@void, that's hardly ISILs style; to hire a Chechen & Polish driver to blow up a truck in a Christmas market is even stretching things a bit, but there have been no mention of explosives, detonated or undetonated. A dead polish passenger and fleeing Chechen driver I might well suspect to maaaaaybe something to do with the Russian Ambassador's death in Turkey, except, you know, Chechnya & Russia aren't exactly bosom buddies. Sort of like the Basques retaliating for an injury done France or Spain, or the IRA avenging an English indignity. Unless the bloke was coming back home drunk from a party celebrating, I'd be hard pressed to see a connection. Meanwhile ISIL isn't exactly shy about covering up their involvement in things by using foreign operators. And retaliating for Russian/Turkish spat in a German Christmas market? Doesn't parse. Unless I'm missing something, the ISIL involvement just seems like "usual suspects muddying waters & claiming any advantage they can". Whether that's terrorists claiming responsibility for anything they can no matter how uninvolved they were, or the anti-refugee camps stirring up more animosity in support of their cause, or America pounding on its emotions before facts drums.

@Freedomfighter Or.... He forgot to turn his lights on when he began driving.
The car behind them? Is following the road rules.

@void. Cultural diversity in mainland Europe becoming the "new normal"? Good.

What happened in Berlin is a tragedy.
or the anti-refugee camps stirring up more animosity in support of their cause,
This.
Training ourselves to look at a group of people with only suspicion, hatred and fear, is the best way I can think of to start this "Battle of Eurabia".
I've worked alongside many people from this "group", for many years. I've yet to meet one that takes a shot at me, cut my head off, run me over, run and go boom or even try to force any aspect or practice of their religion onto me.

What I have seen on the other hand, is people from similar cultures and religious beliefs to my own. Insult, threaten, trick one into eating pork, physically assult, steal and destroy a holy text and pull a hijab off in public.
None of those people deserved any of that. This is the kind of uncivilised behaviour suspicion and hatred breed.

ps: Eurabia? :bored:
If you turn out to be right and they "take" Europe. Giving it a name like that, will certainly make it easy for you to avoid.

Cultural diversity in mainland Europe becoming the "new normal"? Good.

Let alone don't get me started on Europe has *always* been culturally diverse.

(Spanish history, French history, Balkan history, just for a start, if I still stick to Arab/Muslim population waves?

Or Russia-Scandinavian countries cultural & trade & military exchange?

It's hardly a damned new thing, now. Migration waves & mixing of nations is simply something that happens, and is good for us as a species, as it leads to exchange of useful ideas and a way of dealing with issues, period.)
