Oh good grief he's here and he's simply gorgeous!
We are spending our first hour together, the trainer has headed off to the motel for a rest and he's looking around for his trainer. I'm so sorry B - I'm it. Oh the heart break of it all. I'm giving him lots of attention and he's decided to settle down periodically getting up to see if the trainer came back and he didn't notice. .But then he satisfies himself she's not here and does another look around and another sit down.
Oh he's certainly driven by his nose alright! - It's hilarious.
He's done about 85 circuits of my house so far, around and around looking through my windows, sniffing everything. He's hilarious! :)
The trainer has shown me some of the commands - just a few to start with and the good news is they are the same that I trained my dog with 20 years ago. So, they come easily. He's working me out fairly quickly indeed. Smart dog!
I've currently got him on his lead so he knows he's free to chill out next to me.
Everything is new! I can see him assessing everything around himself - nose up in the air, ears twitching, nose wrinkling - amazing. lol... Wagging his tail and showing a big interest in my toes... ooh forgot about them.
Will update you later. The main thing to do now is make sure I toilet him regularly and let him adjust.
