Hello
My GF is a longtime PTSD sufferer, caused by a child rape and exacerbated by incompetent care. Please note that the motherland is a drug supermarket, you can get almost everything over the corner and the doctors usually prescribe everything just to send you away.
I brought my GF to the local General Practitioner to talk about some health issues. She has been issued Lorazepam drops in the motherland, taking it for five years to fight insomnia. When the GP heard this he nearly flew into a rage, saying the doctor who prescribed that was a criminal. He firmly refused to issue a prescription for Lorazepam and advised my GF to scale down and quit immediately. He gave her a prescription for Nytol to aid her in falling asleep. He said that, while the dose was very low, taking Lorazepam for such a long time is dangerous (addiction, loss of lucidity). She's able to work and function normally, but she suffers from insomnia.
She agreed with the prescription and she's taking half doses. She told me that she's already feeling more energetic and aware during the day and that she intends to quit.
Can anyone offer some advice about getting off Lorazepam? She really wants to quit.
