Well, I've started bulk buying "staples" again, like I did in the initial phase of covid. Filling the pantry with things which will keep and which are nourishing in case food prices go beyond my financial means.
I've also radically cut out 95% of everything that I need to drive to, to save petrol/ gas. That includes therapy appointments, medical appointments, etc. I'll pick them up again, once I can afford to drive there again.
I realise this may be needless/ illogical hypervigilance, but right now, I don't care. If it makes me feel calmer to stock the pantry and stop using my car, then that's what I'm doing now.
It's helped me re-regulate a bit.
Also, it sounds like the rhetoric around the Strait of Hormuz is becoming a bit less inflamatory and less escalating and a bit more about finding a solution rather than threatening to bomb the crap out of each other.
I think that's helped too.
I still think this is going to do damage that will f*ck stuff up needlessly for a few years, but it's sounding a bit more manageable now, so my brain is in less of a doom loop.
