If you want additional security on your account, and use Googles two factor authentication system on your phone (via free app), then you can now use it on your account here as well. You can set it up via your account settings area.
What Is It? If you've ever used a bank digital key that gives you a randomly generated number ever x seconds, then that is what this is. Except it does it via your mobile nowadays. The only thing you need do is download Google Authenticator from your phones app store, ensure your phones time is automatically set so that its accurate, and then you can setup an account via your phone, scan the barcode in your settings page here, and then you require a password + code from your phone to login to your account.
I use them on my accounts because I have admin access. It is purely optional. This site uses HTTPS so your sessions are secure as is, this is purely optional and there only because I use it for additional security due to my account access.
