Hair Cut

Who still keeps their military haircut? I still shave my head and stay clean shaven. Plus I look funny with facial hair. Lol

We had to tie long hair in a bun or cut it less than grab length. I always had long hair.
Still braided and with warm weather in a clip to tie it up.
Pretty hot this week and hair is in a clip bun mistly.
Lol not a crewcut but it brings nice memories.

Oy. I have done just about everything conceivable with my hair since I was discharged. But that was awhile ago, so I've had time to go nuts. Long, short, every color of the rainbow (including natural colors), relaxed it, locked it up, even extensions (free / required for my job once upon a time). That said... I do tend to go back to "meets regulations"... or close enough, it can hit my collar & whatever I don't care... As a neutral / when I'm not really thinking or caring about it. It's off my neck & easy to take care of.

My son though! Ha. He's hilarious. There's this little Iraqi barber shop we go to, and not only are they wicked good, but you can tell them service branch or organization, from several different countries and bam! Done. Perfect. With exactly the "feel" of that branch, in various styles (like lo the many versions of the USMC high & tight)even when the regs are technically the same. It started out with him wanting to be Agent Smith from the matrix one year for Halloween, and now I never know what he's going to look like, next. CIA/FBI/USN/USAF/IDF/KSA/RAF... The acronyms just go on and on.

It's amazing what a millimeter here or there can really do.
Kiddo, you're freaking me out. Go spike that or dye it blue or something.

I have only been out six years. I have had beard, goatee, you name it, generally its short back and sides.

I don't like it when my bangs reach past my eyebrows. That means they're close to my eyes anyway. For a while I was trying to grow out my bangs and it was very annoying.

My husband maintains a high and tight. Oh dear god, he got a warhawk a month ago and I hate it. It's a retarded in-regs variation of a mohawk that doesn't look anything like a mohawk. It just looks like an ambitious high and tight that tapers a bit in the back and is longer in the front. It was stylish when I was in, probably because of John McTavish and Call of Duty 4.

Honestly, McTavish was the only guy who pulled the look off because he's pixels--and even his 'do looked more like a mohawk than actual regs would allow.

I retired July1 and yes I keep mine. I still don't feel like a civilian yet even after 117 days of terminal leave.

Last time I had a haircut, the lady was showing me the back. Here's this big bald spot in the back. My widow's peaks are racing south, so I'm losing what I got. So, I let it grow. It's past shoulder length and I have no idea what to do with it. Don't even know how to tie it up. And to think I used to be down on those long haired weirdos, now I are one.

I always have stubble. Not had a wet shave in about a year or so. There's no inspection waiting anymore, so f*ck you, I've always preferred a bit of facial hair and I don't suddenly appear to look like a 14 year homeless man with it.

Respect to those of you with beards. I am yet to get past 4 months growth before it annoys the hell out of me.

I don't think I'll ever lose the drive to present myself properly, but it needs to be adapted I believe for civvi land aka the matrix.

I shave once a week. Wear a goatee and cut my hair when I get to it. I usually keep it short cause I hate f*cking with it.
