Hahahahahahaha! OH I had to wait to stop laughing so I could type-the dam laptop was jiggling up and down too much!!

Priceless, as usual, Gloria!

You got me intrigued now Gloria, I will have to find this on you-tube. It has to be there surely. LOL

I just had the worst night ever, and 'Cujo' made me jiggle the laptop again. Thanks, ITL!!! Cujo- heee! Oh my.

No more Oscar Mayer! This is too funny!! This afternoon I got a call from the Animal Shelter where I got the kitten. The lady said there was a mix-up and there were two kittens - one boy and one girl. I wanted the female but I got lost and when I arrived at the shelter another woman was already adopting the female kitten. But I fell in love with the male and was happy.

Well, the women brought her "female" kitten in to get spayed today and found out it was a male. so the animal shelter called me and told there was mix-up and to check if the kitten was male or female. I wasn't sure. I ended up looking gender recognition for kittens on the internet and kept pulling up my kitten's tail to try to compare to pictures on the internet to determine if it was male or female. It was embaressing looking staring a kitten's genitals! Animal control sent some one over to confirm that I had the female and to check the microchip so their records were correct. Sure enough! No more Oscar!!

Okay, so "Oscar" is not going to work for Miss Kitty here. I originally really wanted a female very much and planned on naming her Agatha after my sister (Aggie for short). So to make a long story short, Oscar is now Aggie. Now I can talk to Aggie all the time and I remember my sister whenever I call her name. I'm so happy. If I hadn't gotten lost, I would have adopted the other kitten and gotten a male thinking I was getting a female. Instead it all worked out and I got my little Aggie. Call me corny but God really worked hard on this one. It made me laugh so hard when I found out! Aggie sure doesn't act very feminine!

Why do things like this always to me? I will be posting her beautiful picture in my album.

I can't stand it Gloria- STOP before you kill me OFF for Heaven's sake!!! The thought of you peering at this animals private parts, and looking it UP- oh I can't think about it anymore or will expire from not being able to breathe. You're hysterical sometimes=but have to have been told that many dozens of time just in the last week.

Aggie is a good name, too- love to see the pic!

Hmmmm, looking for a female name that implies mayhem and terror. I'll have to think about this. After all, as a male, I AM outnumbered here! There could be repercussions.

:naughty:

Isn't that so funny the way things worked out? Even though I'm a dog person, I can't wait to see pictures, kittens are so cute!

Thanks for all the suggestions and sharing my kitten's gender identity crisis. He/She has her posted in my profile. Her picture is in my album with all my other pets called My Therapists. I am still trying to get used to Oscar being a female. He doesn't seem very feminine. She acts more like a boy - very aggressive and out of control. I have a little witch on my hands. She is bossing my three dogs around.

I have fed all my cats high up in the kitchen on cat tree but I can put her food in a dish on the ground because none of my dogs would dare to eat her food. She actually slaps the dogs noses when they are trying to eat and takes their food. It's been a long time since I had a kitten. Is this normal? This little kitten is fearless and I seem to remember my other cats being terrified and timid when they were kittens.

Ii have to stop using the laptop- can't type when laughing ISH!!!! SO looking forward to that name. Mayhem and terror- hahahahaha!!

Hi Gloria!

What an amazing story about you and your kitten! What a wonderful gift to bring comfort, joy and healing to you in your loss.

You so deserve this joy and delightful surprise! Thank you for the laughter and "unbridled" joy.

Your sense of humor at naming "him" Oscar, (and the song!) is delightful; but I'm so glad you got to name her after your sister, Agatha. That is like a rainbow... joy through the ending rain.

I'm going to zip over to your profile to see your pics. ("My Therapists", what a great title, and how true!).
delighted,
deer

P.S. (Thank you, Gloria, for the fr, I'm honored, and very shy, so when I emerge from my hiding place a bit more, yes, although I've never fr-d before, so please forgive me if I am a klutz!)
