We use the Holistic therapy along side conventional medication Gloria. All supported by those who need to know about it. These include his Solicitor, his community mental health team, and local Doctors. Just a pity they do not understand more about PTSD

As for giving up all conventional medication and going completely Holistic, that is up to each individual and not something I would encourage without good support.

I am not saying it is wrong, but neither am I saying it is right. It is for each person to decide which way to go.

I've started a therapy with a psychotherapist who also specializes in holistic healing. She really helps me deal with my PTSD symptoms and my resistence in accepting chemo for life. Last time she was doing my other bodies (don't know how to say it in english), I felt like throwing up and it was at the same time she caught a big chunk of something out of me. This was spontaneous and happened at the same time so neither one of us could have influenced the other!

I felt very tired after that, as we had worked pretty hard on what was bothering me and with that body liberation, I was totally tired yesterday and didn't come on the forum.

There is something to be said about holistic treatments. The patient can feel that something is going on.

I totally agree about not going giving up on conventional medicine completely. I was married to a doctor and have friends who are doctors. I know how they must protect themselves from malpractice and treat patients according to insurance standards.

My doctors were obligated to treat me with conventional methods. They had no choice because if I die, they could get sued. It's very complicated in the United States, especially when you get into the quality of life, etc. But I have gone to Europe and know that they incorporate natural medicines into their treatment. In the United States, they can only prescribe vitamins that sold as a drug because the Federal Drug Administration has not tested and approved (and therefore cannot guarantee) the effectiveness of vitamins.

I knew a plastic surgeon who treated burn patients and it was strictly forbidden to apply vitamin E to wounds but he did and it was extremely effective to help reduce scars. I don't know what ever happened to him but I do know that I was in the hospital recently for several days and I was not allowed to take my vitamin supplements or eat my flax seed because everything had to be prescribed by the hospital.
