I've laid out 100 metres of 19 mm poly hose and pinned it down every two metres. What an ordeal and it has taken a large chunk of my day off to do. I just have to find a little bit more energy and go cut the end off, stick the plug thing in the end of it and job done. I know.... all of the technical jargon is difficult to understand.... but there you go,
hose, plugs and pegs do me.
It's mighty humid and hot out there so taking a short break before I go back and finish it all off. The sun will help the poly hose to reelaax - been waiting for a hot day to do it, but there are limits to how hot it all needs to be.
On Tuesday the mulch bark man is coming with 4 cubic metres of mulch to lay over the hose. I will need at least double that amount of bark, and I have told him, but apparently he does maths differently. :/
Since I am paying for it, you'd expect him not to care. So maybe it's the spreading out of it all, which he is still getting paid to do - idk. Maybe it's cos I am a woman and it is my garden... I should stop trying to read minds because it does not make me well informed.
And K should stop pulling out the pegs that pin down the hose that I have just laboured half a day to pin down.... or she will literally end up in the dog house for a day or so.
K has been beating me to the strawberries for the last week but this morning I got in first. God fresh strawberries straight off the vine...are divine.. lol So no wonder she likes them.
I've trimmed my grape vines so, though not entirely bare at her level, having left a few leaves, there are
no grapes within her grasp, just in case she decides to kill herself again this summer by eating them. I do not want to clean up purple vomit from my floors again... are you listening there K?
