I listen to a wider variety of music now. I used to listen to darker music, hard rock and my favorite band was Offspring. I do like the Celtic music quite a bit now. But I still listen to my old favorites.

Because I suck at the therapy thing I haven't discussed a starting point with anybody, but it's quite possible that it was an accident when I was between 3 and 4 years old so I couldn't say whether anything has changed. I am told I was into funk prior to that time. LOL. I have a wide range of music I'm interested in, but my preferences do vary with my mood and have shifted some over different periods in my life.

I'm interested in this, particularly because I know my music taste had changed drastically. I wonde...

There's no category for me. I don't ever listen to music anymore except occasionally classical while driving. And when I was little, I stopped listening to anything except classical as well (I didn't put that together until you asked the question).

I used to listen to a little of everything but mostly country, but since my surgery and everything it's strictly country. I can't listen to rap or rock or anything that's a lot of noise and hyper. I did lose 100% hearing in my left ear so a lot of noise or anything too loud hurts, but songs that are chaotic and have any screaming in them produce panic or if I can't get it changed or away from it panic attacks even. I can only handle songs I can hear all the words to and understand and nothing related to other traumas. Rap and any songs about ho's and bitches and belittling woman make me mad or upset, so those are off limits and my mom knows that when I'm in the car its country stations only.

I am listening to a wide variety of music and I am beginning to really get into Celtic Music now. I am ready for some soothing music a far cry from my heavy metal days but i still listen to it occasionally.

I have to let hard rock like 5 Finger Death Punch alone...it brings out my dark side...I don not want to go there!! I can be scary...more mellow...James Taylor works...Carly Simon!!

I answered that it got more aggressive and darker, but that really just happened after my symptoms hit me full force. My trauma was far too early to tell.
