Interesting topic. I haven't posted much on the forum because my current abuser comes to this forum and tries to intimidate me. The thing is, I do feel empathy for him. If anyone knew exactly what he did to me and how long he has been stalking me (and my husband) I don't think they would ever understand why I would feel empathy for him. Part of the reason I feel empathy for him is because empathy is an emotion he is not capable of. I'm not going to spend everyday of my life seething in anger/him on my mind. It takes so much energy to hate someone and well, let's just say I'm not very good with commitment. I don't want to be connected to him in any way.
