possibly a little out of context? I meant 'live with it' as in a sufferer as a more reliable source than...
Hey, it's ok. No need to apologise but thank you anyway.....I know what you meant lol
I just gave you a nano atom version of what it's like to be invaded with a disorder like PTSD.
I'd rather have cancer, anything but this.
I have two choices... End My life, or learn how to lessen my symptoms.
I have chosen the latter.
There is no cure for PTSD, not even proper medication.
I think we PTSD sufferers are kinda like the outcasts of the mental health society.
Most of us are mentally stable, we don't have a mental illness at all.
It's kinda like, we had mental breakdown, shutdown, and the shock of whatever happened to us created PTSD. Perhaps it's some kind of an automatic self defence mechanism to protect our sanity, or as in my case, the reality of what was happening to me personally was just too much to bare.
You ever seen the horror film IT?
At the end of the film they fight pennywise the clown who'd turned into a gigantic spider. The most dangerous thing it had as a weapon were its eyes. The Deadlights. IT sucked your sanity, that's why it was so dangerous.
I liken that to what I have seen.
