Hello, I'm new on forums.
I came here to help someone with an advice if I can. I support for half a year my bf who has PTSD. I think there are always alternative ways of helping someone with mental disorder and I also think that therapists and supporters can help someone on different ways because therapists are better educated and have more experience and supporters spend more time with that person so they know him/her better. I also think that anybody who is trying to help someone with mental disorder should encourage that person and help him/her to get through, but should also find what causes that disorder and find a way to cope with it.
If you have any advice or suggestion, I'll be grateful to you. I know that some people would not consider my opinion right , but everybody has right to have opinion about something he/she is properly educated.
