New Here
Hello!
I am new here and just diagnosed a short while ago. I'm finding myself overwhelmed with accepting the fact that I have this, feeling relieved to finally know, and feeling confused on how to move forward.
I'm losing my job next week, due to complications of this, so feeling rather anxious, worried, stressed, tired, and I'm sure you all know the rest:) I started having panic attacks at work, which isn't exactly good for a phone job!
I just felt the need to find people who knew what this is like, to know I'm not alone. Hope to chat with you all soon!

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear that you are losing your job. Panic attacks can be terrible, but with time and therapy they can get fewer and further in between. I remember the first time they started happening to me, I didn't even know what they were. I didn't know I was panicking or I was anxious, just all of a sudden my heart started racing, I would get tunnel vision, auditory exclusion, sometimes I even passed out. Now, it still happens, but it seems to happen less frequently. Rest assured you will find people who know what you are going through here. Welcome!

Welcome to the forums!
It's common to shift to being low functioning for a certain period, especially when you are still new to this, and haven't much experience with dealing with it all.
Hopefully this place helps you, and you learn more on how to deal with panic attacks especially. I really suggest getting to grounding techniques ASAP.
Glad you came here, there are many people in similar situations, and most will be able to understand, we are mainly similar.
Sending hugs, and hopefully it gets better for you :)

Hello welcome to the forum!
Everyone here are great with advice and support when you have insufficient support outside of here, it sucks that it is making you quit your job.
Did anyone/anything trigger your anxiety?

Welcome. What I do know is it often a roller coaster. Also, the best advice and connections, caring and knowing are here.

Welcome, Zhantera. I've had panic attacks since I was 18 . . .about 35 or so years now. They do lessen in frequency, especially if you take an anti-anxiety med, but also with therapy as you work through stuff.
