Zip,.... I had a few replies in mind...even a few funny ones. in the end I decided to keep it in check. You can hate on the Marine Corps. But we both know without grunts on the ground, your armored box is doomed.
As for the Marines, I dont know of any other branch of ANY military that spends more time in more conflicts. There is a reason for that you know.

Red, right up till 3 months into my 07 tour, there was allot of "we're better than you" shite flying around in theatre. Then the bullets started flying. Suddenly we weren't being called fat strats any more. Out of 17 caskets we sent out 7 of them were black hatters. Marines are brothers, same as engineers and dirt gunners. Rivalry aside (we all know the Strats are the best!) anyone that has been there deserves the title Red. So laugh away and send the snide remarks.

I think all this interservice rivalry is BS. We have all been there and done that, and none of us would ever let anyone else down. Here or there or anywhere. :)
