Swearwords, No never ! not from us squaddies, we are all squeaky clean.
We used to swap full 20 ltr jerrycans and English Fags for fresh eggs, veg aswell as Pork and beef when out and about. Can`t imagine it happening today. The world has just changed so much.
As for swearing, I was brought up in a very conservative house. If you swore you got a belting you wouldn`t forget. When I joined up the first leave I got was 6 months into training. We all went home for leave, and you got bored very quickly. One sunday my mother has done dinner, called us all in to sit at the table. Lovely English roast with all the gubbins.
I finished of my plate and was getting seconds, when I look and ask her to pass the roast spuds down. "give us the f*cking spuds mum will you" Her face was a picture, white as a ghost, that I had swore at her dinner table. My brother and sisters (all older than me by 6) looked on dumbfounded, and my old man broke out laughing "Yeah, he is in the Army now, get used to it love" Uptill my old man died, we were the only 2 people ever allowed to swear in the house LMAO f*cking A
