Wife and I are suppose to go to a joint counseling session next week . We have both been to single session in preparation for next week. She had asked (before we knew when our joint session date) if I mind if she went out of town with a friend and my kids, leaving me alone, which she knows i am not comfortable with right now. We talk about scheduling a date and time she chooses to go out of town, because the kids need it. I told her I would trust her decisions is right because my thought process is not ”normal”. Is there even a right?

My thought processes are all messed up and I don’t know if I should have bad feelings about her decision. To top it off, tonight is our first night together for four days, she works nights, and she tells me she is tired and goes to sleep at 6 pm leaving me to handle the kids by myself, she does tell me to wake her when the kids are going to bed. But I really need a break sometimes too and would have loved to have her just be with me.

I am in the early stage of accepting my PTSD and not sure how to handle things like this. My counselor says to write things down so we can address them during the joint sessions but waiting 2 weeks just will not cut it for me.
