Hello and welcome to the Forum - you have received lots of great advice already, so I wont add much more, other than to say... can you explain to your son WHY you do not want to go there?
It's a bit unclear as to whether you live with your son or whether you don't want to visit them there - hopefully the latter. Your son will be torn in his loyalties - but I do think he needs to understand your reasons and the deep implications behind "making" you go.
