Sufferer Hoping to find a sense of community here

Hey guys, I'm 30, have been in therapy for 18 months due to childhood abuse/neglect. It's been a really lonely and gruelling few years. I struggle with feeling no sense of community or belonging in my life. I don't have many close friends and don't have much family.

Welcome! Not having a sense of community and belonging is a tough one. I think a lot of us here struggle with that to varying degrees, myself included. It’s not fun… but it is a little easier knowing others who wrestle with it, too.

I think neglect contributes to that feeling, for abvious reasons. It is hard to counter.
