Do we know exactly who did what? No. But we know everything you just said. And releasing these files is just a facade. It's not about us knowing the exact details. That isn't justice.espectfully disagree that we already know what happened... unless any of us was actually there. The general public knows only the tip of the iceberg, the part about teenage girls groomed and then trafficked. There must be a name for this technique. It's what the ruling class does when the truth is inevitably coming out about one of their atrocities. Choose one of their own to throw under the bus, release a small amount of the truth, bring the media onside and act like they've discovered a one-off horror and dealt with it. The public get to shudder and say "ain't it awful" but there is never enough information released for people to put the full picture together.
Justice is convictions.
None of which any of this "release the files" is achieving or anyone is even discussing.
I remain totally outraged, triggered, dispairing, that nothing at all changes. It all pretence. It's an illusion of change so that we can say "oh but at least there is a conversation about it".
Well, I'm not grateful about that.
There is no change.
