How Do I Improve My Opinion About Humans?

Sir,

I need advice if you could help or not I am just asking.

If someone where to say to you, There is no such thing as being ok or happy for me. I worked in a hospital where it was my job to bring in the bodies and work on them for two years (understated). For me there is just existence I do my best to be silent. There is nothing but at best existence.

Your experiences might put you in a position to offer insight on moments when life is ok. Right? Boating, family, being good at your job? How do you do it???

Sirsir- perhaps it has to do (mostly) with the fact that they do not want to admit it's ptsd- people are becoming more informed of it through the news, etc, and I think the numbers are just staggering, but THEY wouldn't want their "statistics" to necessarily reflect that.

-Persevere and think of you, your family, and "Georgia".
Peace and may tomorrow be a better day.

-And- like you said, you felt some compassion coming back- you had a "mini-healing" experience despite them- that's important too!
:rolleyes:

SirSir;
I have a hard time with humans too. I'm really struggling with being pretty happy isolating.....it's so safe and relaxing. I'm always stressed around humans. I've said out loud several times, "My perfect life is to be left alone." But this is not the way it should be.
I agree with Morgan. There are good people out there. As we heal and have good boundaries and take care of ourselves within relationships.........we will attract more and more of the good.

We may need to hunker down and be extra protective; especially when you've had all the bad stuff happen. Sirsir......I'm in sort of the same boat when it comes to trying to get help with Fibro and PTSD, fighting with employers, courts, doctors........you get tired and worn just fighting for your rights. You pray for just some compassionate understanding. I'm with you on that one. Just adds on more pain to an almost intolerable existence.

But hang in there. There are some people who will treat you with respect out there. You can keep ''pursuing" your rights through the system without 'fighting' and creating more anger in your soul. YOu have the right to get the help and support you need. Remember, when the people in the 'system' treat you badly, try to remember that they can have no concept of what this is like..........they are ignorant and all we need to do is politely and 'calmly' try to explain to them that we have a 'brain injury' that we are trying to get help for. It's no different than cancer or a broken leg. Whether or not they 'get it' is not up to us. We have done our part and we have to walk away from the rest. We can't change the world, so why cause ourselves more distress.

Just what I've been learning. But you will meet a select few that will understand your condition and be supportive and treat you with respect and caring. When this happens........then you will start changing your opinions about humans.

Hope this helps. Helps me to write it.
