Poll How Often Do You Have Flashbacks?

I have some days where I have flashbacks hourly, especially if I'm tired or not taking care of myself. Thankfully there are more days now where I only have a few flashbacks during the day.

I don't honestly know. Are we counting emotional flashbacks and body memories? I don't really get full on flashbacks just still shot images, body memories, I've only ever had a two full on flashbacks. I don't know if the other stuff counts.

For me it seems to start with one intruding memory, or something in my every day experience that reminds me of the event(s). It very quickly becomes a full-system reaction. This is what I'm working on right now, preventing these tiny seeds.

@Flong I don't know if it is possible to "prevent" the seeds. They are there. I used to try to prevent them and it took a lot of energy and didn't work for me. I am having an easier time by recognizing they are there (being mindful) and then using calming techniques before the seeds grow. Took me some time to realize how to do this; some days it is easier than others especially in regards to how rested I am. Always remember to breathe!
