Relationship How To Know When It's Time To Give Up On Us?

Wow. Thank you for this post. I am sorry that I do not have any advice or insight, but it is good to read that other people are going through similar things. When things get bad, my partner always assumes a vacation is the only way to fix it. He is grumpy and short-tempered because he hasn't been on a cruise in a while or we are arguing more and, because I work and can't take off at the drop of the hat to go to the beach, it's my fault.

I read on here recently someone saying that "if he really wanted it to end, he would have left already". Trying to understand what the desired outcome is of being pushed away is difficult and confusing. Does he actually want it to end? Is his just in a really bad cycle? Does he truly not care anymore? Maybe he needs a reality check, maybe he needs a new (or consistent) doc, maybe he needs a med change. Maybe seeing a counselor or therapist together again would help...

Even if you don't hear it from him enough, you're AWESOME -- don't forget. Good luck.
