Yeah, I think that's something my docs spent about a year and a half trying to get through my head.

It did sink in eventually (hard truths, oh, how I love thee!), but it probably still is best to keep myself aware on the fact that there is a middle ground.
It's not a black-or-white situation ("Prepare enough and nothing could possibly go wrong" vs. "Don't prepare at all because it'll go wrong anyway"), and that just seems to be that sort of foggy concept I have a hard time grasping occasionally. :oops:

For some reason, this whole thing reminded me of a scene from Golden Girls here.
Rose [to Dorothy]: Where are you going?
Dorothy: To get ice cream or commit a felony. I'll decide in the car.

Maybe the ultimate goal simply is to always aim for the ice cream. :)
