The weather was warm here in New England. Spent two days with my mom. Didn't see any siblings, baked cookies and lemon bars. Today my children and their significant others. I cooked lasagna and caprese salad. Great day today. Then my mom and o talked for a long time about my childhood.
Had the pleasure of watching a marathon night of Daryls house. Great music. I wanted a kindle but got a painting for my new condo and it's great. Sent the children home with lots of food.

@KwanYingirl  I do not know if you know this, so I am offering. The Kindle app can be downloaded from Amazon and installed on a tablet or laptop, ect. The books can be pinned to read off line and are kept on the cloud.

I made a beautiful Xmas Breakfast and gave out the presents that I got for them.

Then a bit of stress and anxiety, but I didn't lose it so that was good. Papa Bear wanted to go earlier than we were invited.

Then we went for lunch. We were 15 minutes late and from the tension youi would have thought we were going to miss the lunch.

I talked too much at the lunch, and said a bit too much. I woke up with a shame hang over a couple of days later or a day later.

I swam I think the people like me there, my own shit often gets in the way.

Then it was fun and okay and we came back

Saw my my brother. He works overseas so we see him once a year, he and I have never been close. My daughter hosted in her new home which was nice. My mother and her sister can be be very difficult, so since my daughter handled everything it was much less stressful than normal.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear from my sufferer. He texted the Fri before, and wished happy holidays if we don't talk. So I expected not to hear from him. His sister didn't visit and he was alone, but at least he reached out. I've learned his texting style, and can tell when he's making an effort to text but doesn't want to. That's how it was. Haven't heard from him since. Of course I'm worried. Holidays can be so difficult for everyone. Anyway, Christmas was better this year for me.

@Recovery4Me The sweets are a Balkanian thing, so there is no translation, in Croatian 'Orehnjača'.

It's a thing made if walnuts and stuff and it's really tasty, not really sugary. It's ussually snake shaped and then cut up into little parts.

@Recovery4Me thank you for the info. I am not technologically savvy. I don't have a tablet. Should I buy a tablet instead of a kindle? I want something I can read at the beach.

@otakujome

I looked and I found this site.

From what I can see, it is a labor intensive and elaborate cake made with love for the Holidays! Your Grandmother must care about you deeply to offer such expense of resources, energy and honor.
I am also happy that your sister offered you a gift.

Often people do not realize the differences between some countries, as you do and quite often overlook the value of love within actions. Offering traditional foods between family or friends during the Holidays is something that I hold dear from my memories of my Grandmother. I am sure that you do too.

I am glad that you know and understand so many things beyond your age. I am glad you are among us posting from the heart. I look forward to your shares in 2015!

*By the way, Croaita has a beautiful language! I am proud of your tasking away in English and have learned quite a bit from your shares. You are quite the young man to be so globally savvy and your positive attitude can be amazingly inspirational!

How did you feel during the Holidays? Are you still off from school?

@otakujome WOW!! That is fantastic! Congrats!

Since this is your thread it is not like it is thread jacking...lol. Tell me about your competitions, the camp and when it happened- if you wish!
I am all ears.

Well, last year I was third on county level, and almost got to country level, but that was because I found out about them 1 week before competitions, this time I'm going to start early, and a lot will be on camp, which I'm attending in winter for the first time. The camp will be 2nd January and on, don't remember end date, will be a lot of informatics and math work, as preparations for competition. This year I'm going to have different preparation and I hope to get quite high up on the competition. It will give me more points for highschool and stipendy.
