OMFG!!!!
My new FISH just bit me!!

Yes I understand how minor and silly that sounds...
but, my older Goby kept challenging and attacking him (he's a Goby and they can be territorial)
So before he could get hurt or too stressed I decided to remove him to another tank.

...I cupped him in my hand and led him into a holding container...
So then he clings on to my finger and bites the palm of my hand!!!

Didn't hurt really... just scared the crap out of me!!!
LOL fish is darn lucky I didn't drop his container on the floor!

Awww... nice little ramble to calm my nerves ;)

I am learning about snow... Or what you think it would be, it looks like snow, it was at some point. Why is "snow" hard? I thought if was fluffy. But I learned I can go out in my house shoes and (the kids played in it yesterday so full of foot prints) but I guess it did something else since then as it was hard as a rock. My slippers stayed dry. It is also slippery. Though it LOOKS like snow. And damn that shit can blind you!!! It is so sunny out and back home sunny means warm sunrays. Nope still ass biting cold. I swear every time I peek out the window or step out I am blind for 10 minutes. Like a flash camera! So I think is this what they mean by snow blind? I thought it was eyeball freezing, snow in them, or something... Honestly, never gave it thought before so I look it up. Yep, that is kinda the jist of it LOL.

So my day is learning just because it is white, snow is not really snow. It is a big white sheet of rock. And trying to hold on to a dog with no coat on while I wrestle the damn latch out of this block of white ice on the ground to hook her to the run and not bust my ass or freeze sucks. And not to go out ever again without my shades on!

:rofl: OMg that is just soo funny.. LOL it's frozen snow.. it get's a hard crust when it gets colder out.. LOL keep your dog's latch hung up on something so it has less chance of freezing. If it freezes anyways (and it will) bang it against a wall or something and that will loosen the latch.. LOL always, always wear shades.. and make sure they are not metal as frozen shades on your nose and ears is not pleasant.. also watch for earrings.. they can freeze in you ears and that is painful.. still :rofl:over this.. sorry veiled but it's hilarious... from my veiw point...

Just not sure how y'all learn how to do this (or walk on it). Will not go into my walking the dog this evening... Don't want y'all to hurt yourself! (do you know how easy it is to get lost when every frigging thing is white?). So, is it normal when you are out and get sniffles for it to feel like you just snorted glass when you suck it up when it is this cold? Or is that an "I still need time to get acclimated" thing?

And frozen snow... Shit, isn't it already frozen to be snow???? Not frozen is rain. And yes, I found "crust" tonight, I assume that was it. Scared me and the dog both shitless when we just heard a crunch while walking and both fell in. Was a ditch apparently. Poor puppy. Poor mommy. We both need a xanax after that walk.

I just wondered if my reaction looked as funny as hers. I swear the look and yes I swear she had a look on her face was priceless. She acted like something just came up and bit her on the ass. You know when they rip a loud one and jump up acting like what the hell was that??? Same idea.

LOL there are many types of snow and ice.. frozen snow, fluffy snow, sticky snow etc.. same with ice, white ice, black ice etc.. snow ice.. you get the picture.. I would have paid money to have seen that! OMG, that is too funny..maybe I should be sending you some snow booties???:rofl:

LOL, for me or the dog... Cuz I tell you what my boots and this shit are not a good mix. "Cowboy" boots are slick on the bottom. nuf' said on that one, sure you get the idea! Will keep tounge in head and I cannot imagine exposing any skin for anytime period! When I got back I had to go in and out to readjust to the house temps. 68 is cold IMO but we have the heater down to that now, and when I came in my face felt like it was covered in needles warming up. I had a hell of a time getting warmed up. You would think you would want a nice warm spot, but my body just had no clue what the hell was going on. But at least I did brave going outside again even if it was white. Had not done it in about a week. Was too nervous. Now I know why people wear ski masks... On my shopping list. And hubs said it should not be that bad as no wind. Bite me!

LOL walking in cowboy boots or heels takes some practice but even then it can be quite lethal! Get yourself a nice pair of hikers that are insulated (thinsulate is wonderful) and a good pair of sorels. (Don't worry any clerk in that area would understand that.) Make sure you have gloves or mitts that are waterproof too.. cold wet fingers suck. LMAO, yeah wait till you meet the wind chill factor!! OMG, I'm sorry but i'm just getting a hell of a kick outta this.. we just take all this stuff for granted here.. never dawned on me that someone might not know all this stuff!! LMAO have you tried driving yet? *grins wickedly*

Well barely slept but I did get a little bit of food down. Got in the shower, I think I stunk! LOL. Haven't done much of anything today but make some supper. Have to go and get my truck since a buddy has it, so I guess I will be walking tonight.. I think I will watch one of the Freddy movies... I was dreaming about it so I think I've delayed that enough.. Have a wicked migraine that I just can't shake.. feels like my head is going to pop off .. LOL

Oh shit no! If Houston would get a rare frozen moment of sleet the city shuts down or pile up, schools close, the whole 9 yards! Hubs wanted me to ride to take son to school in the AM (15 miles) and there is no way in hell he is even getting me in the car. I cannot believe people drive in this. Some did not well I could see by tire tracks that did not look like they were supposed to! So that made the nerves a bit tense every time a car drove by.

Will have to look up sorels online to see what they are, a special shoe? Will look into some different gloves. (Oh lord it makes my hands hurt here). I already told hubs I want one of those burka things that the muslim women wear but made out of wool. All I can handle "out" are my eyes and only at night!

Yep, y'all take it it for granted. I saw snow once as a kid and we made the most pathetic snowman and it took all the neighbors' yards to do a 3 foot one LOL. Then as an older teen on a road trip (I was flipping out in the car) And then a couple years ago at home Xmas eve on the farm and it was too cool seeing the snow on the palm trees. And now. So I can count it on one hand how many times I have even seen it. The number may be going up a bit more rapid now.

My kids are not doing as well either. Both have been falling down every where.

I posted a Texan moves North in jokes... I think I am getting it now and it is accurate!!! No wonder no fire ants up here.

It's been a while since I've posted in here. I've been doing ok. Keeping busy and trying to get a handle on a strong willed four year old. I've been exhausted lately and sleeping quite a bit. I wish I could share the sleep with you all!

Snow finally came here in Iowa. It is so cold, no snowman in our yard yet. The girls got so excited and wanted to go out and were back in five minutes later! Snow would be so much fun if it wasn't so darn cold!

LMAO, ohhh Veiled, you are priceless.. hehe you would have a heart attack driving around in my truck.. lol, I need new tires.. so I go sideways often.. i'm used to it though.. driving in snow and ice means learning how to use neutral.. lol.. Sorels are a heavy duty winter boot. they are water proof and good to -50 normally.. excellent boots.. even getting those type of boots would do you good.. they go up 3/4 of your calf.. so no snow in your boots when stomping around.. How come everyone else is getting our snow??? This is really making me grumpy.. barely any here this year.. i'm not impressed along with most everyone else. LOL read the jokes.. there is a Nortwestern Ontario version out too.. just about peed my pants when I read it.. will have to see if i can dig it up again.. includes our moose issues here LOL..

Got a bit of sleep and a bit of food down.. can't shake this migraine that i've had since yesterday.. want to chop my head off now.. it's killing me.. damn thing is even in my jaw now.. still haven't watched my freddy movies.. i can barely look at my computer screen as it is.. thinking of going back to bed at this point.. LOL i keep hoping that my bed will magically make this damn migraine go away.. it's all i can do to not pull out my hair (i pull my hair when my migraines get bad.. weird i know.. but it stops me from puking).. ugh.. hope you all have a good day.. not sure how much i'll be on till i get rid of this thing..
