I hope everyone is safe and that their properties are intact. The devastation of a hurricane is beyond traumatic. Just the aftermath math effect some.

I was watching the develop on CNN last night and the after math of some of it this morning. Scary stuff and still more to come with the next high tide.

I hope everyone manages to stay safe and warm, and if you told to leave, then please do so and get to safety.

My thoughts are with you all during this terrible time. Saw on the news how bad it hit NYC and NJ, my heart goes out to all that have been affected.

Everyone stay safe and help each other. Can't do much to help you living in Australia, but we are all thinking of you all.

Just seen the latest reports and it looks like some may have lost everything.

They are still alive as they evacuated, lets hope they can build there lives back up with help and support form there government.

Just got the news that a family friend lost their home to the storm. This all brings up so many memories and stressors for me. I hope that they can salvage some of their belongings. I wish them the strength and resources they need to get through the devastation of Sandy.

I have been watching this on TV and hope that my forum friends are safe. There is so much devastation, I have a candle burning.

It always makes me feel so small. Man can be as technologically advanced as we want but when Mother Nature comes calling we are all at her mercy.

I am nervously waiting to hear if a forum friend is fine - I have contacted her niece here in Australia as it worries me however I do image she may not have power or phones and be very well fine and safe (I'm hoping).
