@ladee Thank you, and thanks to everyone else who has been kind enough to offer support here -- it really means a lot. Update - the meds I've been giving him seem to be helping a little bit. In general, he doesn't seem to be in as much distress and his fits don't last as long now. I am hoping this means the meds are working and he won't need surgery, but it might just be that the meds are treating the symptoms rather than fixing the root problem. Either way, the good news is that he is keeping food down now (for the most part) and so I am trying to make sure he can catch back up. We have another doctor's appointment tomorrow, so hopefully that will go well ....

Thank you @Casey_03 , for letting us know things have improved some... That both of you are calmer and just knowing what the problem is takes a huge weight off your shoulders.. Happy to hear Little Man is eating and managing to keep some of it down.... and hopefully you are getting more sleep and rest.
If you have time, please let us know what is going on with him and you and know that Little Man has a special place in my heart, tho I will never meet him... let him know a whole bunch of people he won't meet are praying and hoping for good outcomes.... Goes without saying you are in my prayers too. You will look back on this and wonder how, how , how, did I do that??? The human need to survive kicks in and we do what we have to do...
