I Don't Know How Much Longer I Can Take This

I know of a few Christian communes that operate this way. Can't think of them at the moment, but maybe if you pm me, I can get you some info. The one I am thinking of prides themselves on growing nearly all their own food, owning almost nothing, and supporting a homeless shelter with an excesses they have. I think it was started by the Mennonites.

Like She Cat, though, I would encourage you to really think through your decisions.

Sorry, can't find the info.

A word of caution: REALLY check out a place FIRST! Don't want you getting retraumatized by a bunch of wackos. Also, you certainly wouldn't be living "on your own", but it would fit your desire for not working for $$. You may want to read about some people who did something similar. Peter Jenkins comes to my mind for walking across the US and giving up material possessions.

ALso, I would recommend you practice. What can you live without? Try taking the bus instead of the car to work, etc. Spend some serious time camping. Give up your computer for a month. Try growing your own veggies, even if it is just in a window box. Maybe then you can really see if it is your cup of tea or youthful idealism.
