I Don't Want To Go To Er. I'm A Baby.

Monster, working in a hospital you must know who the pompous butts are. Often surgeons are in that group. Neurologists happen to usually be in that pot too, so if you have one that is also a surgeon, well, unfortunately, you get two pompous butts in one.

Do not let these pompous butts get the best of you. I know, easier said then done. Any other person you pay for a job, you expect results and they wouldn't get away with only doing part of the stuff. We pay these medical people. You may have to tolerate some of what this doctor does, personality wise, to get a great surgeon. However, this doesn't mean you have to tolerate any of that other stuff by his assistants. Just because they couldn't find a problem doesn't mean there isn't one, as you've obviously proven!

Sorry I get so passionate about patient care. I'll calm down. I just hate to see people get treated poorly. Please let us know how it goes! I'll be thinking of you!

I hate to see people get treated poorly too. I'm a nurse, or was, and I would spend a good deal of my time calming patients down from their crappy treatment in the ER. I have the test on Wed. Now I can't lift my left toe. I am losing function on the left but now that I know the test is scheduled, I'm not really worried. I feel like I can go to the ER anytime now and not be treated badly since I'm losing function so quickly.

Wasn't sure about liking what you said, but I want you to know I support what you said. If it gets worse you might want to call them tomorrow and let them know. Even if it doesn't get worse, because that there sounds pretty bad. I really hope they can find and fix it rather quickly.

I think I would have enjoyed having you as one of my ER nurses. Though I must say I am a pretty nice patient. lol

By the way, once a nurse always a nurse. My mom was one too before she got sick.

Thanks to all of you for worrying. Its not a real emergency unless I can't pee or can't hold it,lol. I know I will need surgery, but the neurosurgeon wants to see what is going on because the MRI was so crappy. I have calmed down a lot now that I have my test appt. I can't wait til its over. Of course if things continue to get worse, I will go to ER before the test. Thanks again:)

You should be Ok until Wednesday monster.

Please though no sudden movements, no twists or turns too far and definitely no lifting of anything other than what you can pick off a table with one hand. Sit as you know you should, but not for too long in one position, and no jumping up from lying down or sitting.

And no bungee jumping. ;)

I think you are a star for phoning. I can also totally understand that the biggest fear was going and not being taken seriously and treated as if you are a nutter. I truly feel for you. That can't happen any more as I think just having the scan scheduled will help you with that if you go into ER.

I am sooo angry and sorry for what you went through before :sour:. I want to rant and rave but that won't be good for you.
two pompous butts in one.
Oh Britt. :roflmao:

I volunteer being a pocket passenger too. :) It will be OK. Take your health seriously. This is important and physical and you deserve self care and safety. I don't like your worsening symptoms much though.

I am so glad you are going. Hopping into your pocket and going with you to keep you company. I am hoping for some answers for you. I am hoping the anxiety over this will not be too bad. I wish you luck. Keep us informed of your progress ok? Big hugs and prayers.
