I Get My Stent Out Tomorrow - Yeah!

I don't know how many of you have had a stent placed between your kidney and bladder but for me it has been a horrid experience.

The stent rubs in the bladder causing bladder spasms at times as well as bleeding when going to the bathroom as the bladder is apparently very sensitive. It's really hard to comprehend that there is nothing wrong going to the bathroom and bleeding.

Let alone the intense, sharp pain when you need to go to the bathroom - if you try to hold on it becomes agonizing and then causes pain when actually relieving yourself.

Tomorrow the wretched thing will be taken out.........yeah!

There will be nothing like being able to go without the pain Nicolette.

Not trying to be funny, but I know the pain of cystitis, and the relief once the antibiotics kick in is amazing.

Try and remember to take it easy for a while after, not that you will, will you. ;)

That has to be the worst part of it all. Hang in there it will be over soon, and then you can gaze at your plane tickets and dream.

Pain is so hard. So very hard. I am so glad you are getting that stent out Nicolette!

Made it through it all and even on no pain medication currently. Going to the bathroom is soooooo less painful despite the bladder bleeding from being aggravated.

Even made it home before peak hour traffic and just woke up from a Nanna Nap. :sleep:

Anthony is not nervous as I am not taking medication which has been the most frightening part of this journey.

It's actually my kidneys which were the concern KP as one was blowing up. The bladder was just irritated by the stent and invasiveness. But thank you for our kind wishes.
