I Hate New Year's

Hee- one of the things I'm hearing is a lot of us kind of being apologetic for not going out and drinking until we vomit on someone's shoe.

Amazing how society shapes our behavior, huh? I don't see what is so special about alcohol. Honestly, the smell of vodka is a strong trigger for me to this day and the taste of alcohol is really nasty.

It's okay if people choose to drink but I just hope they are responsible and safe about it. :)

Well, the "holiday" is done once New Year's Day is over. I made it through last night.

I have come to admit to myself that some of my PTSD is due to the behaviors of my current husband. He is not abusive - or at least he doesn't intend to be, but his behaviors are very triggering. What makes it worse, is that he seems to 'play dumb'. It's as if he has no sense of manners, or common sense, or I guess it's empathy. It's as though he never grew up and learned and adopted adult behavior.

There. I said it. Now I need to decide what to do about it.
