Awesome to read this. A little birdie told me of this thread in a little chat this morning. I am late for work but just HAD to come here and read the whole thing and to at least respond. I know that there is always some safety concerns when meeting someone you have never seen before. Especially if it is originating on the internet. But this is a prime example of the forum in action. Members supporting members. Sometimes even taking it to a new level of friendship! Awesome that you made the journey, as a personal goal. Also awesome the 2 of you met.

I actually had a lecture from my daughter about how I would never have let her meet a friend off the internet :roflmao:, talk about role reversal.

My daughter was with me and the meeting took place in a very public place, so it was a safe risk. It is something I would do again, both with Amethist (if she isn't running for the hills :p) or another member. Risks are part of daily life and we must just be sensible.

I am so happy for you and proud of you!!! I haven't been able to take even small trips without being heavily medicated so I know how hard it can be to travel and to be out and about. Your trip to your daughter's gives me hope that I can recover from my fear of travel and busy places. Well done, congratulations!!! :)

Hmmm, next goal. Maybe finally organising a meeting in Birmingham. Maybe the second or 3rd week in August? Life is starting to take over and I try to hold it at bay, my fault for taking on a Town Councillor role :rolleyes:.

Yes, he knows how great he is, I tell him often and before you ask, he knows how lucky he is to have me - I tell him that as well :roflmao::inlove:.
