Recently, I accepted a shop with a mystery shopping company. I performed the shop, and when I came home to input the results online, there was a glitch with the software and I could not submit it. So I sent an email explaining and I was then rescheduled. I don't want to write a novel here but I was rescheduled twice after this for issues that were not my fault. During the course of this, I had been receiving slightly nasty emails from the mystery shopping company.
Tonight I logged into the mystery shopping company site only to find I could not input the shop for several more days as an incorrect shop date was inputted into the shop parameters.
Here's the good news I wanted to share. I had my fill. I just had my fill. No drama, no scenes, nothing like that. I just calmly sent an email to the effect that I would like to deactivate my account - the equivalent in the mystery shopping world of quitting.
It feels good and hopeful to have done this. Maybe the next time it's appropriate it will be easier to do?
