General I May Not Have Frozen Shoulders After All.

I have been to the physio today and she had a real good go with my left shoulder, she got it moving a lot more than it has been the last few weeks.

Thanks for worrying about me BigBear, but as I tell my husband, "You can worry when I do". ;)

I am keeping up with the physio to keep my shoulders moving.

What I have noticed though is that I can keep the range of movement going, but it only improves after the therapist has done some manipulation.

It looks like I am climbing the walls when I am doing the physio. LOL.

You haven't been at it that long, have you? When I did it, It took a long time before I could help myself. Probably about 3 months. After 3 to 6 months, the therapist could no longer do anymore than I could. Then I had to keep it going on my own. And it was over a year before I reached my maximum recovery.

Of course, everyone is different. Also, aging changes everything...

LOL thanks for that Bear, it made me laugh and yes possibly age is slightly against me.

Your right though I have not been with the therapist for very long and a few weeks of that was taken up checking for other things.

I will keep plugging away at it and climbing the walls. ;)

Hello, I am new here and this thread caught my eye. I had a very similar set of symptoms and it turned out to be psoriatic arthritis. What really prompted me to reply to you about this was when you mentioned platelets since that was the one singular abnormality in my bloodwork before treatment (they are back to normal now that I am on medication).

There is no test for psoriatic arthritis like there is for rheumatoid arthritis so diagnosis can be difficult and in my case didn't happen until I developed obvious psoriasis on my skin and my doctor made the connection between that and the neck and elbow pain I was having which were my predominant arthritic symptoms.

This is just my experience and I wanted to share it in case it can be helpful at all for you.

Been to the physio today and I do not have to go back. I have almost full range of movement now and little to no pain.

Just have to keep doing the exercise's every couple of days for the next month or so, and a check on the range of movement once very 2 weeks. If any issues arises I can be referred back through my Dr.
