I Never Thought I Would Have To Do This Again.

I feel that we are meant to cry. We have suffered. We are suffering. We need to respect our body's need to cry, even if it is out of control, intense crying.

Sometimes, we have been trained that crying is a sign that we are very unwell or our lives are hopeless. That is incorrect training.

I would like to suggest that if your concern is 'losing it" in front of friends or colleagues, take the time at home to make yourself cry where you feel safe. It will allow your body to release the need and the very real emotions of sorrow and hopeless ness. I find sitting in front of the mirror and thinking about how hard it has been helps me to cry.

I don't think it should be suppressed. It is not a bad thing. It's a human thing. Maybe allow your human body to do it?

Just a thought for you to consider. :) The shower is a great place to cry as well. You can even do it without making a noise. It will still be a release and a relief.

I also am having an ambiguous relationship towards taking ssri or benzo's, they keep me from having that deep despair, and i feel that its good for that. But i feel they always come with a price! At this moment, without ingrained coping skills, i neef them, but hopefully someday it will be different!
