She is 89 years old and walks with a walking stick. We were boarding a bus (I was behind her) and she started to fall backward. This could have ended us both up on the ground, but instead luckily I grabbed her by the waist and we were upright again, thank God.

Good thing you were there, that could have been a disaster.

I remember a few years ago I was standing in line to pay for gas poking at my phone, all of a sudden I find myself laying on the floor with an elderly man on top of me.
He had no idea what caused it, he just had a bout of vertigo and tipped over backwards. Fortunately I was there to break his fall, other than being very embarrassed he was fine. I was surprised but also fine. After making sure we weren't hurt, we dusted ourselves off and went our separate ways.
I guess it just happens sometimes.
