Kickass song Simon.
Most of my life I have been misunderstood. I get that now. And I am okay with it. I understand why. I am 'different' in a culture that does not honour differences. I feel that the majority of the people on this forum can really feel what it is like for others who suffer from PTSD. The newbies can be shipped in and learn from we veterans.... and I feel like that would be better still than shipping them off to doctors. Because doctors don't teach them how to live, how to accept, how to be able to reach out and trust in support from others. And I truly believe those are the foundations in learning how to live with PTSD. God love each and every one of us....
When we arrive, sons and daughters
We'll make our homes on the water
We'll build our walls aluminum
We'll fill our mouths with cinnamon now
These currents pull us 'cross the border
Steady your boats, arms to shoulder
'Til tides all pull our hull aground
Making this calm harbor now home
Take up your arms, sons and daughters
We will arise from the bunkers
By land, by sea, by dirigible
We'll leave our tracks untraceable now
When we arrive, sons and daughters
We'll make our homes on the water
We'll build our walls aluminum
We'll fill our mouths with cinnamon now
When we arrive, sons and daughters
We'll make our homes on the water
We'll build our walls aluminum
We'll fill our mouths with cinnamon now
