More options than just 'male' and 'female' because there are many people out there who aren't represented by this dichotomy and just being slapped under a question mark doesn't feel all that respectful.

Gender icons that aren't stereotypically colored. How about green for everybody? Or yellow? Pink for girls and blue for boys is so last century's gender segregation.

There already is an equal gender available here, called unspecified, for use with those who don't want to display their gender, or are bi-gender, etc. This is not a gender disorder / difference forum, therefore it is not appropriate to try and be politically correct at a PTSD Forum to cover every known gender name.

I think the above caters to 99.99% of humanity quite adequately.

What I have been missing repeatedly is a "Like" button for comments on my profile page. Could that be done?

I wasn't being too clear, I guess. I can "like" another member's original post on my profile, but I can not "like" another member's comment on one of my original posts (status updates).

That is because profile posts are just that... comments should not turn into a discussion on a profile, so such features are not included. It is like a PC... what is the point of liking it when it is a PC?

I would like a delete function that allows me to delete a post I make as sometimes it won't post straight away, or at all it seems when I try to post a reply, so I keep trying, and then it eventually posts, except it posts twice, and then I can't delete the second post.

This has happened a few times to me now. There is only an editing function once I have posted but no delete function for when I double post.

Upgrading your account will give you the option to delete your posts Philippa.

Also Philippa, if your content posts twice, you can always 'report' it, and staff will see it and delete it. It's not a problem for us. At least one member of staff is around pretty much all the time and can deal with reported posts very quickly.

Cherryblossom, amethist and Philippa, Just I posted some post for two times. hehehe. I have reported it. I chimed in to suggest the same idea of having delete button for every post for every member.
