Cherryblossom suggested maybe I should share some of my artwork here. I most certainly don't mind so here ya' go, I'll post some of my work and sketchbook pages up here.

All of these ideas are just thoughts, sketches - composition studies in value and focal areas. Silhouettes to make sure everything is readable. This later turns into a full size rough where I work out the fine details and then it goes on to the final drawing and painting. These are done in Adobe Photoshop CS5 with a pressure sensitive tablet.

Creature design for a contest I never got to enter because I'm too busy with dealing with PTSD, you stupid PTSD thing...

That's all for now. It's image heavy. I'll post some final work up here - maybe this'll help encourage me to keep going when the monster has me.

Absolutely amazing!!! :applause: Could you imagine any one of these scary powerful figures being you fighting the Monster (PTSD) or at least coming to your defense? I would have loved to have such talent to draw myself a defense team against my abusers. I love using visual imagery during therapy. I can come up with ideas, but I don't know how represent them...

Thanks everyone! I've cooked up another and dug up an old painting that I never finished. The old painting took me 20 hours of solid work, figuring random things out. This new one took me 2.5 hours.

These are fantastic!! Wow. My good friend Cheryl also paints in oils, but nothing as powerful as this! I am an amateur myself, just drawing stick figures and random designs, but love to express feelings in my work, enjoy it a lot. It can be soooo absorbing to do and brings out stuff I never knew was there before. Cheryl had inspired me and this work is inspirational too I think. Keep up the good work! And thanks for sharing with us. :thankyou:
