I am going to follow this thread to learn that it's OK to take care of myself beyond the bare minimum of keeping myself alive so that I can be of use to others.

@KP the nut I wonder if the new gel nail polish will help with that. My nails are very much like that. Really hate it because they are constantly splitting. Let me know what she tells you. If that's alright.

Wow, a mind reader ;). Yep, that is what she is doing. Hopefully it will protect my nails whilst they grow. Now the decision will be what colour to have them painted. Shhhhhh, don't tell Hubby but I plan to go every 2 weeks at needed at a cost of £15 each time.

@Britt.f7 and @KP the nut I get something like gel done. It's called 'pink and white fill' I believe. There must be another name but I don't know it. They dip a brush in liquid and then in powder, shape it, fill it and then put it under UV light where it hardens. Mine has never ever chipped or broken in the year I've been getting it. They told me that lasts longer. I get it done once a month at about $40 each time.

They are wedges but the wedge part is black so it blended into the table a bit.

I also bought these last week:

Suede and leather flats from Coach.

They are a wonderful every day shoe. I actually bought these in a very cute rogue color but they were too small and I couldn't get them in my size. Too bad.

I bought some new trainers also from running. By Brooks. I am very happy about those because I used to run a lot and really want to get back into it but wearing the right shoe is a must. I have separate shoes from cross-training/gym, more minimalist style.

And I bought rain boots...and riding boots...:sorry: Oh geezzz I haven't realized how many shoes I have been buying! I sound like I buy a lot of shoes now! Last year I bought two pairs the whole year...so It's not normal for me to buy so many. :angelic::wacky:

@Ayesha I love the color! Very nice shoes. If I could I'd buy a ton of shoes. My sister is just the opposite. Cracks me up.

@JustBe They look comfortable. I have arthritis in my feet so I know the importance of getting a shoe that fits just right. :)

I have just been doing some online shopping and have ordered among other things a very red swimsuit. Even at my size I'm not hiding in boring black.

@KP the nut Awesome! I love that suit and I really love the color! My suit is a teal color. Not my usual black. But I really love that red! That is going to look wonderful on you.
