Sexual Assault I'm thinking of getting legal advice around reporting.

I have no support system. I've been in therapy for years, and I just started bringing it up. But the statute of limitation expires in a few years. I can't let it go.

I don't know how it works in the US (I am assuming you are there as you mention the statute of limitations), but can you report it via a charity or sexual assault unit? In the UK you can do it via one of those (as I understand it) rather than straight to the police.

Also, in the UK, you can get an independent sexual assault advocate to help you with reporting to the police and the criminal investigation. I was offered one but it never materialised. (And no investigation as I had no details on who the people were that I reported).

Whatever you do, I wish you luck with it.
You have every right to report it.
It's a tricky process to navigate and it will require a lot of detail about what happened.
And you may or may not get the outcome you need and deserve (in the UK rape convictions are at 1.7%, so it's way more likely than not that there will be no criminal justice).

I reported with a child abuse hotline and then they three way called with the police. I think a crisis line might help you out too. Many cities have lawyers who do free consultations for people and then you can see if you need them more than that. The courthouses and libraries probably have information about that (free legal assistance), or even public schools might too.
