@Ragdoll Circus what words cannot express! Im first extremely happy that you are home! The 2 places ive found to put notes by the way is on the fridge (where my therapist's are) and ive written on the bathroom mirror with dry erase marker but if you are like me and dont look in the mirror (though this would stop the looking at the mirror to write and read it, erase and write different which is why i did it that way) but if you dont want the mirror yet then paper the f*cking hell with it with post it notes or tape bigger messages to it. Id also put some on my closet door and the front of the range hood (the thing above the stove if its called something different there lol). The inside of both my front and back door.
^^^^ But thats all me and my house. Basically pick the most used areas.
If it were me, Id talk to your therapist about ACT. For me, it seems he's already going through it but tomorrow im gonna ask him about the book but damn...for a dyslexic, ive got too many books to read already.
I want a service dog so bad! And i dont think i can turn my extremely well trained dog into a service dog simply because he's a pitbull sadly! But he and my tazor are the only reasons i can step outside now that there was a break in and shooting 50 ft from my bedroom window and it now wouldnt matter if i moved. I wouldnt be able to handle a 2nd dog and im not giving up my current dog.
im wondering if i can ask my therapist to type up something on letter head about needing him due to PTSD. I so want to be able to bring him to more places because going through a store alone it seems like, to me, that im walking through "hell" or something.
Did it myself, the hard way, but 12 years on and I'm a shitload more stable and without medication.
I admire that in you. I never knew you did it without a Dr but you seem like one of those head strong people that can and though im very strong willed and very bullheaded, I cant imagine doing this alone. Kudos to you Sir, kudos to you! Thats no easy feat!
@Ragdoll Circus i agree, you got this! Message me anytime you just need to talk.
