Indigenous Roots And Traumas

@Stickler - i know my sami face is a problem. People do judge you on the base of how you look like. No doubt. Its a horrible story.
@Lola Nocheprieta Dearva - meaning hello in sami language (had to google do). It is pretty much the same as what happend to the indigenous of America and indigenous people other places yes. Im still shameful of being "one of them", but Im working on it. I always knew it was a trauma cause my sami family been treated so bad by norwegians and Ive always been aware of the fact. Just had enough with other traumas that made it hard to deal with this too. The stigma of being sami cuts deep still today.

I came out for the first time in my life a week ago with a video Ive made from a snowshoe mountain hike calling my self a sami girl and added a joik to the video. Makes me feel like crying. I dont really get why this hurts so much nor why Im so sensitive towards it.

@Anarchy learning to appreciate the sami face I keep seing in the mirror every time I look. Im doing better now then before. Thanks for warming encouragment :happy:

The joik with the picture of your grandmother's house... I get the same cackling bird calls here, from the red grouse (they're a sub species that's only in Britain and Ireland) I'm guessing that yours are ptarmigan, the ones that go white in the winter...

Don't forget either half of yourself, though I guess that the Sami half is long overdue her day in the sun
