I not sure if I call myself depressed,i am annoyed/depressed at times because I have these conditions.i am annoyed I used to work and cannot anymore.

Yep. It is very possible to have one without the other.

It is also possible that the dissociation is actually numbing out depression and/or other emotions.

When my dissociation started to improve, I started to feel a lot.

It's also possible for depression to show up as extreme apathy and lack of feeling - usually feels/looks different than dissociation though.

That would be a type of "reactive" depression. It may be that you have a depressed mood because of your situation, although whether it becomes a Major Depressive Episode is a seperate issue.

It's quite normal, and quite healthy, to experience periods of low mood when our circumstances are shite. Those feelings, even though they're pretty unpleasant (putting it mildly!), are actually serving a purpose - they're letting you know that something about your situation isn't okay, or isn't something that you're used to having to manage.

Are you in therapy or do you have a good support network? Do you have other things in your life that you find important or meaningful?Taking steps to get the dissociation manageable may well be key to improving your mood.

I do get dissociative sezuire type thing when I get really stressed or triggered.
they first thought it was epilepsy, tried the medication and never helped.so they then said it was dissociation/derealisation.
it was very hard been on that medication.
