Thanks to jaret to for the encouragement.

I went to art group again today and a lady came who was an art teacher in a local high school. She wanted to know what it was like to teach adults so we now have a free tutor for the next few weeks! :tup:

I have continued with my watercolour of irises but I'm not finding it easy. Everyone is so helpful though and will give constructive criticism but there is no nastiness.

I took my encaustic (wax) art in to show them and they want me to demonstrate it next week. Also, one of the ladies has encouraged me to find a local group that do exhibitions as they think my work is good enough to sell! :D

I'm so scared, I don't think I'm that good but I'm such a perfectionist. :eek:

I can but try!

Your ornament is wonderful SweetPea - I love it! Thanks for sharing. x I love the Day of the Dead; it is a real 'kick death up the but - I'm so not scared of death' day.

I went to group again today and did an encaustic (hot wax) art demonstration. I had a professional artist watching me but I did well and encouraged a lady to ahve a go and took her through it step by step.. My watercolour of irises was left for today and I will pick it up again next week. Photos of finished art to be posted at a later date.
