I've lost faith in the workforce

My workforce counselor actually yelled at me on the phone for wanting to resign from my job. She yelled saying I wouldn't get another job, and that I was running, I was trying hard enough.
She's supposed to be someone who works with vets and other disabled people, yet she screamed at me for not doing what she wanted. I was crying and she just kept yelling at me.
She was so loud my husband could hear her, and it wasn't even on speaker.
I did my best to stand up for myself, even though it was incredibly difficult for me. She said she wouldn't help me to resign at all. I want to change counselors, but I'm not sure they'll let me.
I told her my psychiatrist said staying in this job would be detrimental to my mental health (true), and she said "oh for God's sake!". Then I said "I need to go" and got off the phone, because I couldn't handle it anymore

No matter what her reasons, it was unprofessional and unacceptable for her to raise her voice to you. She may have a lot going on, but she is there to help not hurt.

Why does she have to help you resign? I'm asking because I don't know how this works. If you can do it on your own, then do so.

You are realizing your limitations right now, and Pdoc agrees. You don't need this woman to validate your reasons for not staying at this job.

Only suggestion is to try not to have 'black and white or all or nothing' thinking about this situation. She is one person among many that are there to help. And I would put it into motion about getting another counsellor ASAP. You don't have to be mistreated in any form by anyone.

Thank you, I really appreciate it. You're right, I should try to get another counselor, and file a complaint that she raised her voice at me. She said "we don't help you resign", and I think she thought I meant I wanted them to do it for me, but I was just asking *how* to do it.
I'll need to put in a two weeks notice with the job I'm working, which I'll be doing tomorrow.

I would quit on the spot, most likely.

They need to fix their attitude, or find someone who will find their theatrics more entertaining, for you're not that.

That you cannot find a new job nor quit is just manipulative lying bs.

You will be a stellar worker with a company that can properly appreciate you & your talents, alike. So no worries there.
