Ray Davies wrote this song he is the guy singing lead. This was the first band I saw live. Yeah it looks beautifully dated now- and I love it for that also.
This has become popular again thanks to a TV show and the wonderful Kate Rusby singing it. But for me this song is just so much fun. I hope you get the quirkyness of it, its about our beautiful English eccentricity.
