I was very cynical that we would completely cock it all up, that it would be badly organised and all a bit of a shambles, but so far, it has been fantastic. I'm very impressed.

I know! Who'd have thought we could actually run an Olympic games? London's really organised as well - volunteers everywhere to keep things running. In fact, it's spookily quiet in town because most of the locals have obediently stayed away. I had to go in last week and allowed extra time then got there an hour early.

You know you're Canadian when - you apologize for not winning a medal in a sport you were a hopeful for. Paula Findlay (Findley?) who wasn't able to train for the olympics until the last few weeks due to an injury apologizing profusely at the end of the womans triathlon. Crazy.
