What a win!!!!!!!!!!!!! Murray

You know you're Canadian when - you apologize for not winning a medal in a sport you were a hopeful for. Paula Findlay (Findley?) apologizing profusely at the end of the womans triathlon.

I think that applies for the British as well. 2 of our guys Mark Hunter and Zac Purchase got a silver in one of yesterdays rowing event. They were devastated and kept apologising for letting the country down - they were in tears, I was in tears and the interviewer was in tears, it was all just so painful and raw.

Yay, another 2 golds today, well done Ben Ainsley and Andy Murray, we also have more silver and bronzes. Can Andy Murray win 2 gold in one day, he is in the mixed doubles final.

You know, I was listening the the Jeremy Vine show on BBC Radio 2 today. They were discussing this very thing. People rang in and said that those who did not win medals or came 2nd or 3rd were as much hero's as those who won Gold.

The big discussion was that these athletes are so much better role models for our youth than the highly paid footballers etc and the so called 'stars' of X Factor and Big Brother.

I couldn't agree more!!

I am so proud of all those athletes, from all over the world, who choose to push them selves so hard just for the chance of winning a medal and being the best at what they do.

Seeing Victoria Pendleton getting silver was amazing but also heartbreaking. this was to be her last Olympics but she knew how good the Ausie girl was.

She was upset but I think proud too (she already has a gold) and should not be too disappointed with her Silver.

Beth Tweddle, our British gymnast, was delighted with her bronze and even said she couldn't sleep because she though she would wake up and her meddle would not be there! Oh Bless!
